and Ex Machina (1998)
'Lepage pulls off a miracle. Magisterial... magical... vintage Lepagiana.' Toronto Star
Quebec's internationally renowned master of theatrical imagery returns to the National following successes with Tectonic Plates, Needles and Opium, Elsinore and The Seven Streams of the River Ota.
At the heart of his latest work is the great American architect Frank Lloyd Wright who, at the height of his powers, became increasingly drawn to the teachings of Georgi Gurdjieff, the Russian spiritual leader, composer and mathematician.
Begining in the 1930s, Geometry of Miracles spans thirty years in the life of a man whose visionary, organic buildings set the pace for the 20th century, and charts the often uneasy relationship between teacher and apprentice.
